Grace Buck Roberts
Grace passed away peacefully on March 30, 2021
Grace was born to Ludwig and Lilian Mellersten in Brooklyn, New York. Grace attended Public school there,
until the family moved to Ohio, for a couple of years. When they returned to NYC, Grace met and fell in
love with Herman “Johnny” Buck. In 1952, they married. They decided to move out of the “City” and
up to Rockland County, NY, settling into the Village of Piermont. A couple of years later, they purchased
a home in Garnerville, then eventually settled in Congers, NY, to raise their children Jonathan and
Grace worked as an Executive Secretary for various companies, she was also a Real Estate agent for
Charles Partridge in West Nyack and was immensely proud, that she earned “Realtor of the year” at one
time. Grace also did some modeling for Barbizon.
Grace and Johnny loved spending time with family and friends, especially in Mastic beach, Long Island.
Johnny unfortunately passed away in 1974. Grace then married Thomas Roberts. Together they loved
to travel, go dancing, spend time with family and friends. They also enjoyed having fun at the casinos in
Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Grace and Thomas moved to Pike County, PA, then to Orange County, NY., after Thomas’ death, Grace
resided in Washingtonville, NY.
Grace will be remembered for her love of family, traveling, watching old movies, while enjoying Sushi.
But most of all, for her kindness.
Grace is survived by her Son and Daughter in law Jonathan and Susan Buck, her Granddaughter and her
husband, Meagan and Travis Smith, her Grandson John Leddy and Son in law Ray Leddy, along with many
nieces and nephews.
Grace was predeceased by both of her husband’s Herman “Johnny” Buck and Thomas Roberts, her
daughter Barbara Buck-Leddy, her parents, her brother George Mellersten and her friend Roger Selivan
