Obituary of Jack Sullivan
John “Jack” T. Sullivan, age 73, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 inGreensboro, North Carolina with his family at his side.
Jack was born in Plainfield, New Jersey-- the son of Walter and Thelma Sullivan, and had four brothers and a sister. Throughout his life, Jack was a devoted Catholic who nourished all around him with his love and faith.
After graduating high school, Jack served as a nuclear submariner in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After serving honorably in the Navy, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Denver, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Colorado.
In 1971, Jack met his bride-to-be, Sandy, and they soon married in 1972. They lived in Florida and Colorado before settling down and raising three sons in West Nyack, New York.
Following their marriage, Jack moved to Fort Myers, Florida and then north to Durham, North Carolina to a more temperate clime. He had always dreamed of living in big sky Montana and may God bless him as he travels there.
Jack is survived by his three children: Chris, Greg, and Michael Sullivan; and his loving granddaughter: Hannah Lee Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held to greet friends and family at the JW Sorce Funeral Home in West Nyack, NY on August 21st from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held at St. Peters Cemetery immediately following the mass at St. Francis at 1130am.
