Obituary of Johnny Lee Green
Johnny Lee Green, 70, of Bronx, New York passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, New York on May 25, 2020.
Johnny was born on March 21, 1950 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina to James Green and Margaret Gibbs. He joined the United States Army in 1968 and proudly served in the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Sarita Green-Pesante (Aramis); nine grandchildren, Destiny Green, Dominique Weston, Jasmine Pesante, Sha’Ron Harris, Lejae Harris, Myles Harris, Alexa Pesante, Saniya Pesante, Cameron Pesante; great-granddaughter, Kaaliyah King; mother, Margaret White; siblings, David White (Donna), Joshlyn Renee White (Ronald), Patricia White Strickland (Bryon), and William “Billy” White; and many nieces nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He later reconnected with and is survived by his brother, Ronald Jenkins (Itaski) of Charleston, SC, and Zada Green and Joe Louis Green of Moncks Corner, SC. He is preceded in death by his father, James Green of Moncks Corner, SC, sister, Shelley White of New York, NY, daughter, Quenice Green of Las Vegas, NV, and nephew, David Omar White of Bronx, NY.
Due to current restrictions and in accordance with Johnny’s wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time. A memorial to honor and celebrate his life will be coordinated at a later date.
