Obituary of Devera Kay DeLoatch

Devera Kay DeLoatch, our beloved Dee Dee, 58, after a long debilitating illness transitioned through the Gates of Heaven and is embraced by her Loving Ancestors on April 20, 2020.  Born in Nyack, NY on August 21, 1961 to the Late Carrie Mae DeLoatch and Late Edward DeLoatch, Sr. She sought God in 1975 and was Baptized after her Mothers’ sudden passing by the Greatness and Glory of God at First Baptist Church in Spring Valley.  Dee Dee lived a bright and active life in Spring Valley, Piermont, Pelham, Yonkers and Nanuet NY. She loved planning and setting up and decorating and assisting at parties and get togethers’ and specifically the many barbecues at Ross Dock Park, Palisades NJ with family and friends. She was always available to lend a compassionate hand or considerate ear to anyone needing help or was troubled.  She had natural skills that would enlighten and empower family, friends or strangers.  Dee Dee graduated from Spring Valley Senior High School and was a member of the Spring Valley Varsity Cheerleaders.  She was also member of the BOCES DECA program and created many Advertising Displays and Exhibits in Manhattan and Westchester County.  During her life, she worked in a variety of positions using her creative and guidance skills.  In particular, she excelled as Cosmetics Manager at the former Abraham and Strauss in White Plains and lastly, advancing as a Credit Examiner for Stoffel Seals Corp in Nyack, NY.

Dee Dee is survived by the dedication of her Loving Daughter Ranice Adele DeLoatch.  Ranice has shown amazing strength and poise throughout the sorrow of her Mother’s long illness.  Dee Dee was the youngest of three siblings.  Survived by her Sister Angela Leatrice DeLoatch (Angie) of Spring Valley, Nieces Keshia DeLoatch and Chantel L. Pittman and Great Niece Autumn and Great Nephew Aiden, all of Spring Valley. Her Brother Edward DeLoatch, Jr. (Rusty) and his Wife, Sister in Law Georgina P. Just as Dee Dee lived her life, she fought this debilitating illness with all her God Given might. She will be forever Memorialized in the Hearts of everyone who knew her smile and jovial laugh. In anticipation, a Memorial Service Celebration of Life would be planned for later this summer.  Due to the present Public Coronavirus Emergency no services are being held at this time. We will look forward to the Memorial Service for Family and Friends when this public emergency permits
