Obituary of Francis Gannon

 

Francis (Frank) Gannon, age 84, of West Nyack, NY died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at home. Born November 18, 1934 in Cloonfenian Ballinlough , County Roscommon   Ireland, to the late Thomas and Delia (Costello) Gannon, he was predeceased by the love of his life Maura (Hehir) Gannon.    

He was employed by Dairylea, Queens, NY and Lederle Laboratories, Pearl River, NY.  Frank was an active member of the Irish American Cultural Center where he loved spending time.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Mary (Glenn) Widmer and sons Thomas (Marie), Fran (Ro); sisters Eileen McNally and Angela Cunningham as well as brother Dominic Gannon.  He also has nine grandchildren; William, Christopher, Glynnis, Katharine, Daniel, Francis, Patrick, James and Caroline. 

He was predeceased by his sisters Mary Caulfield, Bridie Davis, Elizabeth Curry as well as brothers Patrick and Thomas Gannon. 

Frank will be dearly missed  by his many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 31st from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM at the Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home 728 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY 10994 (845( 358-4433 www.sorcefuneralhome.com

The Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 1st at 10AM at St. Anthony's Shrine Church 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.  Burial to immmediatly follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
