Sharon "Sherrie" Albright

Sharon Genevieve Albright née Rimbos “Sherrie” passed away peacefully in her sleep at her

home on February 9, 2018. She was 79 years old. Beloved wife of Donald Albright and devoted mother  of Donald JR and Cheryl she leaves behind her brother Peter and numerous cousins and aunts.  Born in NYC in 1938, she graduated from Jamaica HS and worked at Sperry as a secretary. She married Donald in 1966 and moved to Rockland county settling in Bardonia where she raised her two children. She then moved to Blauvelt and then finally at her last address at West Nyack Ny where she quickly became a fixture of the community. Deciding her passion was raising children she became actively involved in helping to raise her 3 grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas and Alec, especially after the untimely death of their mother Cheryl. She was an active parent in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives as she was involved in the PTA and was both a Cub Scout Den mother and Brownie leader. Sherry was also involved in the local Greek church, St Constantine and Helen. Sherry was a world traveler and spoke several languages including Greek. She especially loved visiting Jerusalem, Egypt and Greece especially Sparta where she could trace back her bloodlines.She was a dog lover who owned many dogs especially her precious Billy Wayne who predeceased her. She was also active in charity work, giving

donations to those less fortunate.  The daughter of George Rimbos and Celia Rimbos née Cleary she was strong willed, determined, intelligent, selfless and generous. This is evident by her many friends and all her accomplishments. May she be remembered by all the good she has done for those

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13th at St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1 Marycrest Rd., West Nyack, New York, Burial will be in Tappan Cemetery, Tappan, NY.
