| Catherine "Kay"Barry of New City passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 14, 2010. She was 84. Kay was born in New York City on November 7, 1925 to Thomas and Mary Concannon. Kay was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the focus of her life. She was a member of the Clarkstown Senior Citizens Club II. Kay was predeceased by her sisters; Helen Clark and Mary Jean Barry and brother; Michael Concannon. Kay is survived by Thomas Barry, her husband of 59 years, her loving daughter Cathy Harm and husband Michael of Pearl River, NY, her cherished grandchildren; Michael Harm and wife Kelly, Thomas Harm, Jessica Polizzi and husband Brian, and her two great granddaughters; Samantha and Kayla Polizzi. She is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews and her loving sister-in-law, Margaret Concannon. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Joseph W. Sorce F. H. Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:15 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack, NY. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Kay's name be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital at 100 Madison Avenue , Morristown, NJ 07962. |
