She was born Anna Yuskiw on August 19, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY to her parents, Theodore and Helen (Hamanitzky) Yuskiw.

She was employed by Schrafft's restaurant on Broad Street in Manhattan for many years until their closing. She continued her hospitality work in the executive dinning room of the Chase Manhattan Bank for the Marriott Corporation. She retired at age 76.

She experienced the tragic loss of her young daughter Joan (Scher) Melita in 1966 and lovingly helped her son-in-law raise her three grandchildren.

Anne was a devoted grandmother to Donna Melita of Highland Mills, Lonna Panatelli of Tuxedo and Guy Melita and his wife Debra of Monroe; a beloved great-grandmother to Crystal Wichmann, Eric Melita, Amber Melita and Matthew Melita; a cherished great-great-grandmother to Johanna Wichmann, who is her daughter's namesake.

Anne was also predeceased by her son-in-law Richard Melita in 2009; and her sisters Stella Yuskiw, Julia Moran, Olga Madonia and her brother Eugene Yuskiw.

She loved trips to Atlantic City and the beach. She was a very charitable woman to anyone she met and especially to her grandchildren. Anne was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly.

Family and friends may call from 8-10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17 at Joseph W. Sorce Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Rd., West Nyack, NY.

Funeral Mass to immediately follow at St. Anthony's Church, 36 West Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY. Interment will be in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
