She was born on July 15, 1959 in Yonkers, NY to John and Matilda Sherman.

In April 1984, Maureen married James Antash in St. Casimir’s Church in Yonkers. He predeceased her in Dec. 2003.

Maureen worked for Advanced Photo Labs in Ardsley, NY before stating her own photography studio in Pearl River called It’s a Bella Photo. Photography was her life. She also loved to fish and cook and was a big Yankee fan. “Maureen was a good friend to anyone who met her and was a loving and giving friend to all.”

She is survived by her mother, Matilda Sherman of Maybrook, NY, her sister, Debi Morante and her husband Jerry of Montgomery, NY, her best friend, Anne DiLascio-Marsico of West Nyack, her extended family, Rose, Diana, Richard, Ronnie and Veronica, who she treated like children of her own, her beloved Basset Hound, Ralphie, several cousins and many friends.

A Gathering of friends will be held on Sunday Feb. 7, 2010 from 1:00pm to 5:00 pm at the “ Family Owned” Joseph W. Sorce F.H. Inc. where services will be held at 2:00pm with Msgr. Webber officiating.
